What uses credits
- Generating or regenerating lessons, slides, images, narration, quizzes and simulators, AI tutor chat and speech practice use credits.
- Credits are charged from the AI provider's metered cost of each request, not a flat fee. Estimates shown before generating or regenerating are indicative; the charge is the metered amount.
- Playing back a finished lesson — slides, its narration and video — never uses credits, however often it is replayed.
Credit validity
- Plan credits are granted each billing month and expire at the end of that month. Unused plan credits roll over once, up to 100% of one month's allowance, and expire at the end of the following month.
- Annual plans are paid upfront (10 months charged for 12); their credits are still released month by month.
- Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase. Subscribers receive 10% off top-ups.
- When several balances are available, the credits that expire soonest are used first.
When credits run out
- AI features stop and you are offered a top-up. Playback keeps working. There are no surprise overage charges.
- Overage is available only to invoiced organisation plans whose administrator has switched it on and set a monthly spend cap. It is billed at ZAR 1.40 per credit excluding VAT on the next invoice and stops at the cap.
- Organisation administrators can set a monthly credit cap per teacher, and learners' AI practice is capped per learner per month.
Prices and VAT
- Prices are in ZAR. Personal plans are shown including 15% VAT; tutor, creator and organisation plans are shown excluding VAT, with VAT added at checkout. Invoices show the amount excluding VAT, the VAT and the total.
Changes to the credit rate card
- Our costs depend on AI provider prices and the US dollar exchange rate. We may update the credit rate card — how many credits an action uses, and the price of credits — with 30 days' notice. Existing annual subscriptions keep their price until renewal.
Free trial
- The free trial includes 40 credits once, valid for 30 days, and requires a verified email address plus a verified phone number or card. One trial per person, phone number or card; disposable email addresses are not eligible.
Plan changes and cancellation
- Upgrades take effect immediately; the price difference and credits are prorated for the rest of the period. Downgrades take effect at renewal.
- If a renewal payment fails or an invoice is overdue, we send a payment request with a pay-now link on days 1, 3, 7. After 7 days the account becomes read-only — finished lessons still play, AI features pause — and after 30 days the subscription is suspended. Paying the invoice restores access immediately.
- On cancellation you keep access until the end of the paid period; plan credits expire with the period and top-ups remain usable until their own expiry.
Selling on the marketplace
- Course prices include VAT. The platform keeps 25% of each sale, calculated on the amount excluding VAT; the creator earns the rest.
- Earnings from a sale are held for 14 days, which covers the 7-day refund window, and then become available to withdraw or to pay platform invoices. A refunded sale is deducted from the creator's earnings.
- Payouts can be requested from ZAR 200.00. Buyers' playback of a purchased course is free; their interactive AI use is billed to the buyer's own credits.
