At classroom.study, we believe your data belongs to you. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete control over your personal information. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and associated data, what data is removed, and what we may retain for legal or operational reasons.
We provide multiple straightforward ways to delete your account and data:
Log in to your account at classroom.study.
Navigate to your Account Settings or Profile dashboard.
Scroll down to the Security & Privacy section.
Click on Delete Account and confirm your decision.
If you cannot access your account or prefer to have our support team handle it, you can submit a deletion request via email:
Email: support@classroom.study
Subject Line: User Data Deletion Request – [Your Username/Email]
Required Info: Please send the email from the email address associated with the account you wish to delete so we can verify your identity.
Once an account deletion request is processed, the following actions take place:
Profile & Identity Data: Your name, email address, password, profile picture, and account preferences are permanently deleted from our active databases.
Educational & Performance Data: Your progress tracking, quiz scores, course completions, and study metrics are erased.
User-Generated Content: Any custom flashcards, study notes, or private materials you created will be permanently removed.
While we aim to delete everything immediately, please note the following technical and legal exceptions:
Once initiated, your data is immediately marked for deletion and removed from public view. Complete removal from our secure system backups and server logs may take up to 30 days due to automated backup schedules.
If you are part of a shared classroom, school organization, or collaborative study group:
Contributions made to public or shared group discussions may remain visible to other users, but your name and identity will be replaced with an "Anonymous/Deleted User" label.
If your account was issued or managed by an educational institution (e.g., your school), the institution's administrative policy may dictate how long learning data must be preserved.
We may retain limited transaction records (if applicable) or security logs if required to comply with local financial laws, prevent fraud, or resolve active disputes. This data will be securely isolated and never used for marketing or tracking.
Because classroom.study is used in educational settings, we take the privacy of minors seriously.
If a parent or legal guardian discovers that their child has created an unauthorized account on classroom.study, they can contact us directly at support@classroom.study.
Upon verification, we will immediately and permanently delete the child's account and all associated data from our systems.
